Girls In-House Basketball Programs
The purpose of our program is to provide a supervised recreational basketball program for girls from kindergarten through high school in a comprehensive community-based organization.
We provide girls the opportunity to learn about and play basketball in a competitive but equal playing time league. We encourage development of fundamental skills with an emphasis on having fun. We are a volunteer-run organization who partner with surrounding communities to compete in the Girls Recreational Basketball League, providing a large league size which allows for very competitive games.
K to 2nd Grade
For this age group we usually have two events per week with a clinic/practice on either Monday or Tuesday and then on Friday we split into teams to play games. This program is designed to introduce fundamentals while giving the kids a chance to have fun and experience gameplay.
Program runs from early December through early February.
3rd & 4th Grade and 5th & 6th Grade
At this level we divide players into teams that they will practice with 1 – 2 times per week and play regular games on Saturdays in a recreational league with other teams from BAC along with surrounding communities such as (but not limited to) Lakeville, Prior Lake, Shakopee, and Bloomington. There is a 3rd+4th grade league and a 5th+6th grade league.
Season runs from mid-November through our tournament planned for mid-late February.
7th - 12th Grade
Normally we run two leagues, one for 7th+8th grade and one for 9th-12th grade. The format we go with in 2022 will largely depend on how many teams are registered. Players are encouraged to form their own teams (adult coach volunteer required) and will play on weeknights or Saturdays depending on the week.
Season is planned to run from December through February.
